Crew Agent (shore-based) — Palma office

Anchorlight is hiring a crew agent for our Palma office. Ex-crew strongly preferred — the job is much easier when you have actually done the seasons. You'd manage your own desk: taking briefs from captains and managers, screening and interviewing candidates, running the shortlist, and staying honest with people who aren't getting the job. We don't do volume spam and we don't send twelve CVs to look busy. Ideal background: three or more years at sea in any department, good written English, and the patience to say no kindly forty times a week. Office based in Palma, Monday to Friday, with a real salary rather than commission-only. Some travel to Antibes and Fort Lauderdale for boat shows.
