Bosun jobs on superyachts

The bosun runs the deck day to day: allocating the team, maintenance planning, tender and toy fleet, lifting operations and keeping the exterior to a standard that survives inspection from a guest at close range.

It is the first properly supervisory deck role, and the point at which people usually decide whether to push for an OOW ticket or move across to engineering.
